Another immobiliser fault

  1. #1
The ignition switch on my wifes 1.1 Saxo had started feeling loose and all the warning lights went out when trying to start. I disconected the negative of the battery , removed the switch and I found the screw holding the switch to the lock was loose allowing the bits to separate slightly. I tightened up the screw, and replaced the switch and now the immobiliser light wont go off. It is a non central locking car so no coded key. I tried the cut off button under the bonnet. I assume the little sensor on the plastic ring round the switch is the sensor for the immobiliser.
    Any ideas ?

    Thanks

Dont worry - as if 1
I found the answer, the plastic sleeve round the lock barrel which is apparently the immobilizer aerial had moved out of position because the locating tongue had broken off . I have now held it in place with a couple of ty-wraps and all OK.
