    What does the blue sensor do on the thermostat housing on a mk1 diesel?

    i dont know if its just me being stupid but my 1.5d doesnt have a temp gauge. well atleast not on the dash, just a light

    IIrc it's used for the instruments so there will be a over heating warning light of some sort and it will be for that.

    Blue is for your dash.

    single pin for just the light, and twin pin if you have a gauge (which 99% of diesel don't ave)

    Green CTS is for your ECU, although 1999 model year misses out, so it's redundant well almost.

    Getting good at this guessing game. Didn't really guess I knew it was for instruments.

    Same as on most petrol models.

    you don't really know, TUD5 with non ECU AND semi electronic advance is complicated. the green CTS sensor doesn't go to an ECU work that one out without guessing.

    Yeah its in a shit location that gives bad readings on the petrol engines.

    It doesn't have enough valves to get it's own mention. I forget VTR's all the time if you know what I mean.
