Keys and Remote fob

    Hi all,am new on here and the girlfriend has just had a saxo vtr 2002 model.It came with only one key and no remote key fob.is it possible to get a fob and a spare key cut .The key has some chip in it i would imagine .Thanks for any advice.Alan.

    In not 100% sure mate but a think its a citreon job because the fob has to be programmed. Not cheap iirc

    My local high st key shop had them in stock he opens the key and swaps the chip, £30 my key fob don't should prob fix lol

    The key we have works fine i just want a spare..dont understand what you mean my key fob dont should prob fix.Thanks Alan.

    spare key find yourself a ''timpsons'' key cutter, phone ahead tho as not all can cut the cross keys, but they will cut and code your key for £20 or so.
    as for the fob it is a citroen jobbie and it really aint cheap, you are better of and works out a little cheaper to have a after market alarm fitted with remote fob. at the time when my fob died, i was quoted less to fit a all singing n dancing clifford alarm.

    I know from experience that citroen will charge in the region of £100 - £130 for new fob and programming, plus they need the car and all keys for it for about 2 hours! (That's what they quoted me but I had a call within half hour saying it was done)
