Wheel balancing cost?

  1. #1
Just fitted some new alloys to my saxo, previously from a fiesta via hub centric 20mm spacers, is it adviced to have these balanced? All 4 wheels have weights still attached and were in pristine condition when brought.

If they will need balancing, how much will this cost? Is it also advice to have my tracking done at the same time?

Oh you didn't buy the wheels? Where were they brought from?

A small garage shouldn't charge much more than a tenner for balancing (full set) but it depends on the garage. Obviously the government hasn't set a price in stone for having wheels balanced

Yeah I brought the wheels, they were brought from someone on eBay, in immaculate condition at a very good price!

You bought a set of wheels, no need to thank me.
I pay £5 a wheel down here and I would advise you got them balanced.

Pretty much any garage will do them, they have centre caps unlike the standard saxo VT rims.
    I would expect £20.
Avoid kwikfit/f1/ 'anywhere thats got a store chain' They usually will want a lot more.
Charlie browns a place in Doncaster similar to kwikfit gave me a quote for £56 to balance some VTR wheels the other week. :/
