    Had your tyres done recently?

I sure if they aren't balanced properly it can cause this ?

Probably lost a weight off the wheels, get them balanced and it should be ok

Looking at Saxo clocks then technically it would be ... 10% accounting for accuracy and all that.

Yes that was a fail so I was wrong there but what's your excuse for the blatant circumventing of the rules.

    10% is a lie.

Speedos read high to deter speeders, it's not a set percentage value.

The speedo in my GTI reads 4-5mph too high and it's constant from 25mph onwards.

a 10% figure would be variable as your speed increased and that simply isn't the case.

OP probably wheel balance but don't rule out driveshafts etc.

10% was a hugely assumed guess in an attempt to cover the whole speedo range tbh.

    Well, Bret, it doesn't

In fact, the speedo is 100% accurate all the time, the markings on the dial face are where it becomes "wrong".

Does it account for a change in wheel size out of interest?

Doesn't matter, the speedo is always right.

But since the dial face doesn't move, no it won't account for a change in wheel size.

I had the same problem in my old saxo couldnt figure it out thought it was wheels or steering but it turned out to be driveshafts and it was only when you were going around that speed
