Engine revving when clutch pressed.

   Say you come to a junction to stop and dip the clutch to go into first, the engine would give some revs.
   
   Any ideas ?
   
   Seems to run like a bag of bollocks when there's anything less than a tenners worth of petrol in there.

   Clean the idle control valve, also could be the green temp sensor is buggered or the idle control valve is buggered.
   
   Clean it first and go from there.
   
   Also you shouldn't be running your car with less than a tenners worth in that's about litres barely covers the bottom of the tank.
