Important! : Problem with seat belt

  1. #1
Ok this morning i was sorting a leak coming into my boot and into the 3/4 panels. I took the right hand rear passenger seat belt off to clean the water behind the pannels.

The seat belt locked up so when this happend before i took 1 side off it desabled the gear and pulled enough belt out so i can re attach it.

This time i took the wrong side off resulting in a whip in the face of a tensioned coil.

Is there a way/guide to put this coil back to gather?

It's cool i sorted it now.

I loosened the whole belt and put the coil in the slots. With the coil in the slots i round it so it got tighter and started to pull the belt in and clipped it back to gather. works fine now - Not to self don't open the side that says 'G' as that must mean 'God dam trigger loaded coil ready to spring out and bitch slap you in the face'

You don't have to take any side off the belt housing to get it to retract idea is to have it in the correct fitted position ie fitted to the car so that the ball bearing releases the gear
