Inlet manifold and head gasket replacement

Could anyone please help me I am trying to replace the head gasket on a Saxo Desire 1.1 2001. Reading the forums it says you can remove the block to get to the gasket without removing the inlet manifold but I can't work out what you need to disconnect before doing this. Am I right in thinking you disconnect the electrical connectors, the throttle cable and the pipe at the back (petrol feed I assume). Also if you undo the four nuts that hold the exhaust manifold to the catalytic converter and unplug the lambda sensor and finally disconnect the water pipe to the thermostat it should come out. Oh and remove the head bolts

    thanks

I would suggest removing the inlet manifold, makes it so much easier to work with and it's only a few bolts on your engine.

Looking at it I think you may be right
