   1.1 desire. after turning the engine off and taking the key out, the rev counter and fuel gauge stay where they were when running. also when i take the key out with the lights still on, the dash lights flicker and eventually go out, weird...

   Are the clocks permanently stuck like that? Try disconnecting the earth on the battery, feed the cat (or just wait 5 mins), then reconnect and your clocks should reset. I've had to do it a few times- my dials sometimes stop working after driving in heavy rain.
   
   As for the flickering dash lights - definitely ghosts

   when i put the ignition back on the rev counter will go back to 0 until i start, and the fuel gauge back to empty, then to its correct level. im just stumped about the dash lights
