Quick query on coolant hoses guys!

    Hello everyone

finally got my new VTS engine in my car. Everything is all connected bar on coolant pipe.

My friend disconnected it from the old engine and top me to keep the new hose on the new engine as the clip that bolts to the engine wasn't snapped unlike mine. Only problem is I now can't reconnect the two bits back together. I've removed the clip to try and push it on but it just isn't going

This doesn't make much sense without the pictures so I'll upload some in a sec!

Just wanna know the best solution to get the two bits to join together? Or are they different sizes on MK1/MK2?

    Cheers, Shannon.

Really small picture, but the circled part is the bit that is apart in two pieces

Cut the two sections apart so its back to just rubber and then join using a piece of copper pipe?

I see what you're saying. But the system runs under a lot of pressure so I wouldn't want to risk it to be honest.

Yes they do come apart, and clip back together.

Yeah I know it clips back together Rich but I was there for like an hour trying to push it back together -.- Just didn't feel like it was the right part that's why I asked if it was different between MK1 & MK2? What is your technique?

    Cheers
