Cams question

   I'm looking into getting a set of uprated cams for a 2002 VTS.
   
   What do I need apart from the cams themselves?? Do I need extra bits like followers etc??
   
   Also are Vernier pulleys neccecary or do they make timing easier or are they just for show??
   
   Also what cams recommended or are they much the same??
