So thinking about getting a respray but not 100% sure on what to go for. Quite like the Icelandic colour but was also thinking about sun dance yellow? What's a nice colour to choose in your opinion?
Respray ideas?

#2I like the yellow that you can get the renault megane/clio rs in, kind of yellow/gold colour.
-
#3If your going to respray, unless doing a full strip down, engine bay, boot and door shuts job i would keep the car the same colour.
And if you do change the colour, please do take the kit off first, dont want another Yorkie.2 users thanked this post: , -
#4do you realise how much a full, proper job respray is gonna cost pal?
-
#5Yeah it would be stripped, not a tacky job. Mum works in a body shop so get good prices (:1 user thanked this post:

#11Im boring and like basic gloss colours. Some subtle metalic colours look good, but im not overly bothered.
In the MG scene everyone gets majorly excited by those rare 'momogram' painted ones that are pearlecscent but i think the cars look better well presented in their standard gloss colours.
Persoanally like saxos in black, icelandic and wicked red if they are really tidy and well polished.
The Silver will hide a lot and you dont have to clean them as often to keep them looking clean ive found. -
#18That would look decent on a saxo!

#20I think I know the one your on about, had Schmidt wheels? Actually thought it was gorgeous! It was a brown with a gold'ish metallic flake.
-
#21there is a well known mk2 fiesta thats this colour with smooth bay etc thats been around for ages that ive always liked.

And as others are now saying - that brown is the don. If I hadn't had my car resprayed last year I'd have it that colour in a heartbeat. Own up - you secretly like it. -
#23Any saxo painted brown will always be compared to Bens.

Colours are either long lasting or very fashion based. At the mo the most asked for colour is pearl white. If I was you I would stick to the grey's blacks blues/ xirallic or pearl metallic.
As any painter will tell you anything other than these and the car can be dated within 5 years to when it was painted just by the choice of your paint.
In all honesty I always wanted to paint a saxo in black base coat then go for a gold xirallic pearl in the clear coat. So in day light the car looks gold but then at dusk you only get gold high lights. And at night its solid black apart from the places the street lights reflect then they are solid gold. -
#24Haha 4 years ago, have you been stalking me?Quote:Pretty sure ...
