clutch, its clutching my balls!

clutch troubles, think this may solve my vibration issues.

1st can the clutch cause a vibration at speeds, there's a nasty squeal coming out from it as well, is it sat on a bearing? is it a big job?

i will get this car fighting fit one way or another!

if anyone knows where i can get a clutch from please let me know

Squeal may be clutch release bearing but we need more info before helping. Only in gear? Only when clutch pedal is pressed? Only when moving? Moving but in nuteral (on/off clutch)? Only at speed? More turning one way than the other? Noise matches engine revs or road speed?

Give us more to work on bro

righty, noisey in third gear, take it up to fourty, starts wobbling, take it up to 50 and you feel like your in a tumble dryer, press in clutch pedal, stops shaking, bring back up clutch starts shaking again.so yes, noise/vibration only in gear. gets worse at speed, but feels fine if i am doing below 40 or at the speed limit.

could it possibly be a mounting? had a look, they look fine, would a closer inspection be advised

Sounds like a driveshaft tbh. If it was a clutch it would do it in all gears, varying by revs not speed.

coming more from the left side of the car as well, might just prop it up now and have a gander at it, they easy to replace drive shafts?

Yep. Pretty easy. There's a guide on here if you search

ide say it cud be the wheel bearing because i had exactly the same problem and couldnt work it out and i took it to sum1 and they narrowed it down to the bearing and change it and that solved the problem

il take the bearings out, the drive shafts look ''fine'' i bet if i took them out theyd be on there arse, cheers chaps for your help

if you jack it up you'll FEEL the play if its the bearing or be able to hear it grumble as you spin the wheel.

To check the drive shaft, again jacked up, put it on full lock and spin, it'll make clunking noises if its knackered (try it locked to the left and right). Once the drive shaft is out its difficult to tell its condition as they're meant to be correct when under compression between the gearbox and hub

had a thought, if it was the bearings, it would make a screeching/grinding noise! thats not the noise am hearing haha

Won't be the wheel bearings if it doesn't do it when out of gear.

had a look underneath, actually looks like theres a slight bend in the drive shaft, bit worried about putting full lock on though when am jacking it up!
