Changing rear axle ... where to put the axle stands???

    I'm in the process of swapping the rear axle on the VTR and before I continue was just wondering where is the best place to put the axle stands to support the car whilst still allowing access for the axle swap?

    I'm guessing the rear jack points on the sills but would like this confirmed or another location suggested prior to risking my life underneath it?

    When I changed a rear axle we put the stands on the jacking points. Was sturdy and we wasn't gentle with it. When you set it down on the stands just give the car a good shake and see if anything moves, if not your all good leave in gear and/or chock front wheels so it don't wander ;p
