Basically guys just lookin to see what you guys are using. And how you have fitted them. Also what sort of view do you get out of the small ones?

Most use standard, you could use motorbike mirrors?

A few guys have used the small "kit car" ones just a square mirror on a 90 degree mount

Personally they look shit but for function they save weight but arent that stable

I'm sure if you use the correct mounts they will be stable. I have vts mirrors atm and they weight a fair wack. And I sorta like the look of the small carbon mirrors. Just wonderd if anyone has actually fitted some and how they have gone about fitting them to standard bases

I got DTM mirrors but i didn't fit them to lose weight really, standard manual VTS wing mirrors weights 830g each so you won't gain much anyway.

Vts mirrors are electric mate. Well mine are any way. Not a fan of dtm's or m3's. I think there will be quite abit of weight difference from the standard mirrors to the ones I have found. Just need to see if others have mounted them how. If you get me.

Yes i get that, found these in carbon fiber:

They costs much but are probably one of the best you can get for weight saving, their view is quite useless obviously.

I was looking at something like these. As you say not going to see a massive amount but will save weight in the long run

I was looking at doing this too, was gonna fibre glass and fill the base then drill threw and mount and innatec the base plate to keep oem look.

    check that out

the little ones im referring too
they vibrate on the stalk (hence my unstable comment) on the correct bases

If you buy cheap ones they aren't great, buy the high quality ones and they will be fine..

I don't see the point unless your trying to build a race car, there are lots of ways to take weight out without the drawbacks these race mirrors will give you.

you get about a third of a regular sized one. As in downgrade, unless you specifically need to lose those 4 ounces.

Depends if you use the convex lenses or not. If so, I'd say there wasn't much in it over standard mirrors. Mine never bothered me
