I literally no nothing about good brakes ect so please dont hate on me

I've heard mintex brembo, grooved discs ect but don't really no anything about them
Could someone link me some good uprated discs please? (best ones in your opinion)

Also some good uprated pads? If upgraded/uprated pads exist?

And is it possible to buy new calipers? If so could I be linked some because Iv looked on eBay and there isn't anything on there like new products

Last question: is it beneficial to get some new rear drums? Mine are very rusted or will this make no diffence? And be a waste of money?

    Thanks

Not gonna lie but it means nothing to me. I'd just rather some help from the so-called lovely people of saxp. Just hoping someone could link me to a few ebay pages. Yes pisses me off as much as the rest when people don't stick to the rules ect and read the faqs but even if I read that it still doesn't give me a full understanding of What other people think is best product and if it is beneficial to change the drums? and if you can buy calipers and all that?

^^ This. Just to add - there is no point in getting drilled and grooved discs IMO. Also there is no point in changing the drums, and it doesn't matter that they're rusty on the outside.

    Good quality plain disks

    Decent pads, mintex 1144,ds2200
Avoid ebc green stuff only fit for doorstops or paper weights

    Braided lines

    Decent fluid
    Correctly adjusted handbrake

And all will be spot on

as said forget about grooved or drilled discs, the cheap ones are jsut heavy and are there to look good for people who dont know what they're looking at namely chavs

if you want a cheap upgrade then a 206 gti 266 or 206 gti 180/gti-6 283mm brake set up can usually get then very cheap and bolt straight on will be a massive improvement

if you want to keep your oem brakes then good pads as alfie said m1144's. some braided hoses, plain discs, bled up properly will cost more than a caliper upgrade, can pick up 266mm set ups with discs and pads for £40 odd

personally i'd go for a pad and disc upgrade with decent fluid rather than slightly bigger calipers with standard pads and discs.
Good pads and plain discs are more than enough with decent fluid for road and light track use.
Just make sure everythings bled well and adjusted properly, same goes for the rear drums no point changing those to discs imo.
