Engine coolant

   My car was suffering with a major air lock i managed to get it sorted but my car now usualy stick about 1/4 heated maybe abit higher now and then.. Was wondering wat usual temp gauge shud sit at could i of used to much coolant? Also noticed like water 'sloshing' about in the matrix is this normal?

   if you hear water sloshing about in the matrix then its not bled properly. There should be no air in the system at all.

   Here you go mate, if your not going to "drain and refill" you can prob use this just to top up the system.
   
   Only problem is you won't actuall know what your mixture ratio is ... If you have the spare time and money I would prob say drain and refill just to be sure.

   sounds like it needs a bleed, if its not been done recently then empty it all out and refrill with fresh using the proper bleed technique.
   if its sitting low then I reckon thats OK, higher up then it might be a problem or the usual fault like I had with mine - the gauge sensor not going into the coolant but reading the metal temperature. Wont be the case here if you havent moved anything
