can i get piper performance without the name ? i'd much rather pay less for summit that does the same job.
  2. #2
How much do you have to spend? I think though that they all cost pretty much the same, I've never heard of any cheaper alternatives.

catcams, you will get more power, just as good quality and for only £320ish.
  4. #4
£320 is a bargain its the £400 remap that slows my plans down.
  5. #5
also newmans cams are about the same price as catcams and they have slightly different profiles.

Ok so that seems to be a myth about taking it easy untill there mapped but did/do you notice a big difference?

    Cheers

you do notice a difference but not as much as when its mapped.
instead of the power dying off near the rev limit it keeps pulling all the way.

Sounds good to me I contacted Qep about the possibilty of a group buy but have no reply I'll get on the phone and see what they say.

Do I need verneir pulleys and all that sherbunkle?
  12. #12
the standard are vernier so no need. i did cause i found brand new pair for a 100 quid so thought why not. aftermarkets are lighter whether that actually helps but its gonna be minimul. not worth getting brand new

Cheers bullit I'll get some ordered there were some kent pt51's on SSC for £200 but they'd already been sold otherwise I would have snapped them up.

I'll just keep my eyes open.

my good friend Keir ran Pt51s unmapped for a year. 142bhp before cams, 143bhp after. Sounded shit too. After map it was up at 160 odd. Get it mapped
