Anyone know what the furio bottom end can safely handle?

Was just wondering if anyone knows what revs the 1.4 can safely handle? I've had a look and can't find any info, I don't really know how similar the 1.4 engine is to any of the other engines cos I'm a bit of a saxo noob.

I've fitted a rallye head etc so now I don't have any power till about 4k and the furio's rev limiter kicks in at 6 so I don't have much of a power band at the minute. Won't be able to change it for a few months because of money and I'm really tempted to whip the head off and get it machined to raised the compression before going near a rr but might as well find out the now if anyone knows if the furio can cope with revving up higher or if I'll need to consider stronger con rods etc.

Take out drop a vts engine in save you money and time

I'm not changing displacement. Call it a personality quirk, I like working with what I've got. I'm not looking for huge power just something that puts a grin on my face so a slow 1.4 that has to be revved to go anyway sounds alot more fun to me. Plus a vts would be killer on insurance as I've got a few other vehicles.

    What management you running?

Totally standard furio management. I've got a dastec piggyback ecu that I can fit when it comes time to dyno it.
