Excessive play/knocking from gear lever.

   As above, over the last month, the gear lever has seemed to get a bit looser, and have more play then usual.
   As of yesterday it has started knocking from below the lever, and being a bit stiffer than usual to go in to gear.
   
   I'm thinking linkages? Opinions?

   Linkages could be buggered. Also try some lube on the nylon ball mate. Could also be the roll pin .

   Can i new roll pin be purchased and fitted easily? May aswell replace the lot if im having it out.

   Yeah mate they are 30p or something from Citroen and yeah easily fitted if you remove the air box.

   Just check that the exhaust aint banging on the bottom of the gearstick... Mine aint far off....

   For what its worth mate, i've just had a new roll pin costinf 42 pence and it's made a massive, massive difference in terms of how wobbly the stick was.
