    Thinking off purchasing a 3inch sportex with ' race tube ' for my phase 2 desire, anyone fitted one? also how hard is it to cut out the back bumper without trashing it?

    Its very easy mate, it takes time tho... The external size of the exhaust, add about 15mm all the way round the outside and cut a circle out of cardboard... Fit the exhaust and draw round the cardboard circle then jigsaw it out, you may need to repeat it a few times until your totally happy with it, run over the edges with a file and hey presto, done

    sounds reasonable! another question ive ordered it now and been reading comments sayin its to loud etc? and will it be okay at mot time?

    I have a full sportex system. Everything was easy to fit except the manifold. Iv seen them fitted without the bumper needing to be cut? Maybe im wrong

    my sportex if fine with no cut bumper? fits nicely in the standard cut out...mine is on a vt though, desire bumper maybe different??
