Front bumper sagging

  1. #1
When I bought the R I noticed it had a slight gap between the front bumper and the grill. The gap is about 10mm and is starting to do my head in looking at it. If I grab the bumper underneath and pull it up it does move up but as soon as I let go it drops again. Is this just some loose bolts or something worse? Any ideas on how to fix it? Cheers

I told you before it sounds like its been in a bump, check if the chassis end plates are bent.

How do you do that mate. If worst case they are, then can it be fixed?

Well you won`t know until you take the bumper off, sometimes if the plates are only very slightly bent then they can be pushed back.

Never had to take the bumper off so need to get the old Haynes out. Are the plates you are talking about the ones on either side of the radiator. If its badly bent then is it a case of just leaving the bumper the way it is? Just trying to see what the worse case scenario is. Money is quite tight at the minute.

Yes the plates are either side of the radiator, take the bumper off 1st then post a pic up on here, someone will advise you.

I've got exactly the same problem! Looks like it isn't just your bumper that's coming off this weekend haha

I know mate. It's not a major thing to see but when you notice it your eye is constantly drawn to it!

Have you checked all fixings are in and where they should be? Especially the ones underneath the centre of the front bumper below the rad?
