Removing sticker adhesive

  1. #1
    Hi all

Bought a new (to me) saxo fairly recently and the previous owner obviously had a couple of stickers on at some point and has done quite a crap job of removing them, most of the adhesive is still visible.

Tried sticky stuff remover and that won't make it budge, considering meth/white spirits but won't that damage the paint? What's best to use?

    Cheers
    Dan

Hair dryer to heat up the sticky crap, WD40 and a bit of elbow grease

Tar remover is the easiest way. Autosmart tardis is the best stuff imo.

Take your time if it's really old sticky stuff. I always done like that so can vouch that it works, no need to spend extra dollar on autoglym or sticky remover.

Tried that sticky remover once by the way, thought it was utterly rubbish: it hardens the glue before actually attacking and dissolving it. You have to leave it on for about 15 minutes before you can even try wiping off. Even then it leaves traces, not great.
