2002 VTR over revving

   Hi Boys, newbie here and glad I found this forum
   
   I have a VTR 2002 and am experiencing over revving of the engine, the engine can rev up to about 2500 revs, when stopping at junctions this over revving is getting me some funny looks
   
   I have changed the Coolant temperature sensor, but now am totally confused, anyone got any ideas ...

   Clean icv / check throttle cable isn't to tight so the car thinks it's on a light cruise.
