griding noise

   hi all I drove for 10/15 miles today and heard a griding noise coming from drivers side wheel took it to garage and he sed it sounds like the drive shaft but its only happening when I drive for over 5 miles and then its only now and then but gets worse the more miles I do any ideas thanks

   Depends which car it is, if it's what im thinking it could be the intermediate bearing on the driveshaft

   its a saxo vtr w reg (2000) and is that a easy fix ?

   i think you can get a bearing, but would be easier to get a new driveshaft

   Could also be stone thats caught between the brake pad & disc.

   thanks steve but I have taken wheel off that is all fine I also jacked it up when wheel was off and put it in gear and drive shaft was a bit jumpy
