Important! : MAP sensor wiring has snapped - splice help?

  1. #1
    Hi guys
Bad news, a wire for my MAP sensor has snapped
How should I go about repairing this?
    It's the 4 pin/4 wire version

You can just about make it out in that image
It's the 3rd cable down - black wiring
I believe it being snapped has caused my lumpy idle and EML to illuminate!

    What are my options?
I obviously want it sorting, and fixing so it will stay fixed! not a 'strip the wire, wind together, wrap in tape' sort of fix!

    Please help!

You cant really make out where its broken, if youve got enough wire then solder and heat shrink tube it - if not then replace the connector

Seems like I will be replacing the connector then!
You can't see the break in the image, as it wasn't broken at the time!

Where can I find a MAP sensor connector!? All my scrapyards have older/lower models!

Iirc its the same map sensor as used on most the later pugs 207 307 etc. And the jp4 engined stuff so surely there must be something there with that plug?

    Sorted
Cut and soldered in to place, heat shrink around it, tape around that!
