PAS replacement using pump from different model.

My Saxo is a 97 R reg VSX and the power steering has been dodgy for a few years and for the last year and a half i cant even be bothered to hit the thing to get it working any more. Anyway now its warming up I thought I would have a go at changing it.

I have a found a local one which is from a T reg VTR so same generation, is the VTR power steering likely to be the same?

Also I am after a passenger side electric window motor and mechanism is this also likely to be exactly the same?

    Thanks in advance.

All pas pumps fit all saxo`s,I can`t help regarding the window motor I would guess that it would also fit.

I read in another thread that there are two types one with the fluid tank built in and one with without. Mine is the one without and the one I am planning on getting also doesnt have it so i take it it should be good then. Thanks.

What I mean is my one doesnt have the fluid filling cap built into the housing of the pump.

The only difference with the pumps is the reservoir.

The remote and non remote reservoir versions have the same mount last time I looked

even so, i dont think it matters if one has the fluid tank built it or one has a pipe and then the fluid reservoir bolted to the slam panel

they both do the same thing

Thanks for all the replies I feel reassured now. So I will assume that the electric window motor and mechanism is likely the same as well.

    Thanks
