Anyone have any idea what the pump is for inside the n/s front wheel arch. It has a intake pipe to suck in air and then seems to pump this air into a valve just above the exhaust manifold and then into the side of the cylinder head. It's an 02 saxo vts, I'm only enquiring as mine has been damaged and even citroen can't seem to help me by just describing it, they need the specific name. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

#2The part I'm referring to joins the pipework in the picture.

#3Its for the egr valve, which the whole system can be removed. Then a blanking plate made up with no ill effects to the engine.

#4Is it worth blanking the egr valve though on a petrol car and will it pass mot?

#5I'm positive its not an EGR as it is not directly connected to the exhaust manifold it is just mounted on it. Also the air is fed into the cylinder head from a pump, which is simply fed by air from a filter that sits in the engine bay.
