#3Thanks :-) that's good news then
near enough same ratios as a .1 box isn't it?
-
#5Does anyone know what the codes are for all of the different boxes?

If you are going to try and improve acceleration either go the whole way and get a 1.3 rallye or 1.4 xsi box or keeping it similar to a vts but a bit better get a 1.6 rallye one
I wouldn't personally mess around trying to get better ratios out of 1.1 / diesel boxes or whatever the difference will be extremely minimal -
#7cheers for all the help, not looking at changing the box, just wasnt sure what it was as i always thought it was a 1.1 box, happier with a vts box anyway

#8Had a look at my gearbox and I can't seem to find a code in it?? It is still on the engine in the car, can anyone tell me exactly were it is?

#13circled in red. Some boxes didnt get a code though, my late production run VTS box has no code so you have to go on revs at certain speeds to work out whats fitted. Well that or strip the box to take a look inside but thats a lot of effort to be honestQuote:Had a look at my gearbox and I can't seem to find a code in it??
