Important! : Car break down.

   Hey,,
   
   My car has just cut out on me todays its a citreon saxo desire my autonater has been making a hell of a racket for the last couple of weeks and iv seen a mechanic who is going to change it however my bf was driving my car today and the car suddenly cut out and will not start? the roadside recovery said it was not the autonater does anyone have any idea what it could be?

   Probably best asking the roadside recovery - if they know it's not the alternator, then they'll know what the problem is.
   
   We won't know any more than that because you've not really described the issue.

   they said something about my gears being split? however i have had no problem with my gears atall

   Dear hannahj,
   Firstly, you really need to ring them back and get a straight and proper reason for why your car broke down.
   Secondly, you would need to do now ASAP before the team that was dealing with your breakdown, before they all finish tonight and change shifts, as tomorrow will be to late.
