hi i have put osram night breakers in my car (52 plate saxo forte) and the lights are bright but only for about 2 foot and the lights are adjusted up as far as they can go . any suggestions please

If they are shining two feet in front of the car you have
    A. candles in jam jars.
    or
    B. Your headlights aimed almost directly at the floor.

my first thought was to adjust the lights and it made it worse so i adjusted them back to zero

Or you`ve put your bulbs in the wrong way round.

if i use my high beam it seems to be not as bad but not as good as my dads saxo

Had the same when I fit mine a couple of days ago, seemed brighter but didnt seem to be able to see as far as standard bulbs. Possibly put them in the wrong way round but haven't got round to turning them around yet. Had mine with the top pin at the top, and the empty one closest to the ground.

When you say they are adjusted as high as they will go, are they adjusted by the little dial in the car or have you done it on the actual headlight unit?

Since your lights where aiming right before , i would say you have put the bulbs in wrong. That is why they seem bighter as all the light escapes around and it is not aimed-focused in front

I found when I put the bulbs in mine before I got angel eyes, if you put them in strait they aim down. But if you put them in turned slightly clock wise/ anti clock wise (can't remember which way) they shine really well... Hope you understand- its hard to explain

thanks for all the help i will wait until its dark tonight and try to adjust them and i have adjusted them in the dial next to the steering coloum and how can you adjust the actual unit its self

It's been that long since I saw a Saxo headlight unit I can't remember the specifics but I'm sure there's a screw at the back of the light unit that you can turn to adjust the beam. Do it up against a wall so you can see it adjusting.

Put a couple of fat birds in the back it'll raise the headlight level no probs

you need a long allen key if I remember rightly or could just be screwdriver, and you go down through one of the hole sin the slam panel I think and you can adjust them.

bes bet would be to get to your closest garage and get the headlight machine infront of it to adjust it to the right position.

I thought the adjuster stuck out of the back of the unit? Maybe it depends between MK1 or MK2.

If I remember correctly if you have not got the bulbs installed correctly, that their is a reflector on the bulb.If the bulb is upside down then the beam is altered.
