Right I have done a conversion from a quiksilver to a Gti.. Had numerous problems! Took 6 months to hear it start for the first time!
But now, it runs n drives fine, until it gets warm n you rev it high then it just idles up n down n doesn't let you rev n it cuts out...
Put diagnostic computer on it n it came up map sensor.. The map sensor on it is brand new but tried another new one in case it was faulty but the problem is still there!!
The alternator hasn't been fitted to that car yet but fitting it tomorrow.. I don't think that would cause this problem though..
Changed fuel pump n idle control valve.. N pretty much all the sensors are brand new...
My uncle has said my next step would be to put diagnostic computer on a working Gti n write down all the readings n levels n compare then to mine to try n find where the problem may be.. But unfortunately I don't know anyone with a Gti or Vts!
so I really don't know what to do?! It's been nearly 8 months that its been off the road now n I am not giving up!!
Anyone have any ideas? Or anyone in birmingham want to have a look at it or let me put computer on your car to get readings? Or does anyone have any readings written down already?
