Fresh air pump hole info.

   Hello,found this hole just above the thermostat while changing the air filter,anyone know what is it for? i guess i need to block it off? what can i use? Thanks.

   Can i use a 2 penny coin to block it off? i would prefer to use the proper blanking panel that a guy sells on here but he doesn't log in from 1 year so i doubt i'll be able to contact him.
