Getting at the spare wheel
-
#1
-
#2You spin it anti clockwise to get wheel out
Use wheel brace to spinit -
#3Use the oposite end of the wheel spanner(left hand side air vent in boot IIRC) and turn it
-
#4That would explain it, haven't got one of those..
Cheers -
#5Looks like a trip to the scrappers?!
This is what you need
-
#6Yep I'll venture down tomorrow, never know when I'll need it!
-
#7Yeah, dont rely on one either.
They snap far too easy.. -
#8try lifting the wheel up a bit and than try to fidle a bit with a holder ,it is in hook shape so try to pull the holder a bit toward yourself
-
#9I just use a screwdriver in that tbh
Lay it flat on the floor more like a pry bar its a lot easier than with the wheel brace -
#10Once you've got the tyre out make sure you grease the threads on that retaining bolt....they're in a position where they get all the elements so rust up quick....bit of grease makes life so much simpler next time you need the spare out
