Beam knackered, anyone want to fix it Leeds?

Hi all,

My VTR failed its MOT today on (amongst other things) rear beam...

Can anyone recommend a garage local to Leeds/Wetherby/York-ish that won't rip me off for being a girl in a ever-so-slightly suped-up citroen?

i use a place called Wickhams Garage in Armley just round the corner from where i live..

the guy that owns it is really helpful and knowledgeable.. and his labour charges are pretty cheap too..

though he did take the piss out of my silver front and black back wheels this morning when he had my VTR on his diagnostic machine! (deserved though... it does look shit!)

might be beyond repair and you may just need a new beam

imaxles sell reconditioned axles and fit them too. Theyre very expensive though (about half the value of the car). If it were me, id take my chances with a good condition 2nd hand beam (not from a scrap yard) and fit it myself - you would probs want to pay a garage to fit it lol. Its only 4 bolts, not a big job

I have a reconditioned beam in doncaster that im wanting to sell as im scrapping the car.
