Vtr front knocking

   Hi all
   Have a saxo vtr with a serious knocking ! It was a slight knock but now it's alot worse feels like the wheel is going to fall off. And occasionally the gear stick shakes very vigorously I've checked all balljointa and replaced a badly worn wishbone
   Any help would be appreciated

   Have you checked wheel bearings for play and checked all other joints/ mounts at the front?

   Sounds daft but has the driveshaft been replaced?The knocking could be the wrong type of shaft for that hub.Have you also tightened up the nuts in the footwell where the driveshaft bolts come through?

   Driveshaft hasn't been replaced all the time I've had it in 4 years and ya only recently started doing it as yes checked wishbone footwell bolts

   Is the knocking constant?
   Do you find it more noisy either turning left or right?
   What is the typical speed when noise is most obvious and can you accelerate through/past the noise?

   No not constant but quite often much worse when turn a long right hand corner at about 60 but the vigorous shaking of the gear stick was at about 35 going up a slight hill
