Water dripping from my dash!!

   Hi everyone .. So I jumped in my car this morning and as I've shook the car getting in it I see water dropping from the passenger side from under the dash and on to my carpet!! Obvi it was raining last night but to be coming in ending up under my dash!!! Has anyone got any ideas how to stop this or heard of this happerning before! I've got a mk2 vtr thanks for reading and for any help

   could be from the windscreen mate.

   blocked drainage channels on the near side or the heater matrix, check to see if its fresh water or coolant

   had the same on mine mate and it ended up being the heater matrix

   yeah coould be, when my old car had water dripping my windscreen seals wasnt tight so it let water in

   by pass the matrix and see if it goes away

   that would be your best bet, because i have just searched on google, and apparantly its a common fault on most cars.

   Cheers for all the replies lads .. Might sound dumb but under the bonnet there's like a hole on the right side under the windscreen there's the gap that I keep stuff in haha could this be somthing to do with it by any chance :/

   if the stuff you are keeping in there is blocking the drain hole then yes. Why are you keeping things in there?

    I actually don't no it's mainly rags and stuff like that .. But yeah I'ma go clear it out lol

    yeah that is for the drainage, i think its best to take that out

    Yep I've pulled all my rags and so on out of it now so touch wood the water dripping from under the dash will stop

    It's still happerning heavy rain! And it's still dripping off the bottom of my dash .. Sorry to sound stupid but how do I by pass the heater matrix?

    See if it has a tap on the end. Might be a water dispenser.

    Mine used to drip from the passenger side dash, took the head lining out to check the sunroof drains and the passenger side one was missing.

    Check that the rubber bungs are in the bulkhead I had a car that pissed in water when it rained and there was one missing put a new one in a didn't do it again.
