piper 4-1

Im looking at getting a 4-1 manifold for the beast and the favourite at the minute is the piper 4-1. but reading this thread had me a bit worried:

I want to try and avoid changing the setup to the mk1 version if possible. But because it is only 1.5cm away from the oil filter, will it melt it? the only way i can think of getting around this is heatwrapping the pipe closest the filter. is this advisable?

if anyone has any other suggestions id really appreciate it. Thanks

My supersprint manifold is really close to my oil filter for the last 8 months I've had it on I've had no problems.

But then other people have had problems, at some point I might actually do an oil filter conversion.

The Piper is designed for both mk1 and mk2 models. People have also used a shorter oil filter to solve the issue. I think a renault 5 one...

Had a piper manifold on my c2 and it didnt melt the oil filter housing, a little different but spacing was close.
