Help Please

    Hi, very new here. My son passed his test today. He bought a Saxo 1.1 a couple of weeks ago. On the first long drive today the exhaust came away at the manifold. He got an older friend to look at it and he says it has just been taped up. Is it going to be quick to fix? And also, how expensive. I can't say more than that as I live quite a way from him and haven't seen for myself. He is only 18 so can't afford much. To add to the woes, he is supposed to be setting off from Derbyshire to Cornwall tomorrow to start his new job at the weekend.

    Any advice, or tips would be gratefully received. Thanks

    Tape would not hold a red hot manifold and exhaust up for even 5 minutes! sounds like the two bot where they meet have just come loose eventully and it has dropped off. easy fix as long as it ha done no damage to part of the exhaust system.
