alternator problems

    hi guys, need some help, in the last 5 or 6 months ive managed to work my way through 4 alternators, now needing my 5th, any ideas why? my bet is because of the sub...? ive heard some say because of the mods ive done..? any help obn why would be appreciated, thanks

    Over tensioning the drivebelt maybe?Doing this wears out the bearings.Plus are you fitting new alternators or used ones each time?
