saxo high revs when idle then cut out? and starting problems

    ive had a few problems with my west coast, just got the car and sometimes it would not start or start and be spluttery, put in some kseal and it seemed to stop it being spluttery and start no problem for a few days. it has started to sometimes not start and on a few occasions when coming to a stop at a junction the revs shoot up past 2000 then conk out. any ideas of what this could be?

    Dear Nickwood,
    Firstly, why did you put the K-seal into the cooling system ? Was it because you already have a hunch that your head gasket may be leaking.
