Would a Pug 106 tailgate fit a Saxo?

I'm thinking it should but dont know 100%.

it fits but its being covered before that you will need to either cut the lock mech hole bigger or replace the rear slam panel with a 106 one

I dont mind hacking the lock out as I intended to smooth it as theres less to smooth than a Saxo one.

I'll do a search see what I can find.

it's not the lock on the tailgate mate, it's the catch on the slam panel. it needs to be raised to meet the 106 bootlid, and the lights wiring needs rewired to suit pug lights.

As has been said the lock catch needs to be raised approx an inch and a half iirc. Also the metal around the lights nedds to be reshaped. There's a guy on SSC who has done it to his 5 door. Do a search on the forum and it should pull the thread about how he did it up.

i think a 106 rear on a saxo looks wrong, just my opinion tho

Seems like a mess about to be honest.

Yeah its way to much hassle.

Its far easier just to smooth the original Saxo tailgate I was just trying to avoid welding a plate over then number plate recess but that seems quite simple in comparison.

Thanks for the advice though people
