fan wont kick in

    i changed my radiator and refitted it

    now the fan wont kick in?

    could be the relay?

    any ideas?

    not sure ill have a look in a bit anyone know which one it is?

    it was still getting power when i wired in my twin fan i just rounded it and the fan came on so wont be the fuse

    this leads me to think the relay but where is it?

    If its a mk1 then there is a fan sensor,either on the radiator or by the fan motor mate.

    there is a blue sesnor on the radiator with a brass flat face

    is that it?

    i thought that was a water temp one

    although my dials dont have oil/water temp as eearly mk1

    That sounds like the fan sensor,the water temp(for the gauge)is also blue but is screwed into the thermostat housing mate.

    Bridge the terminals on the fan sensor in the rad and see what it does

    yeah just use a bit of wire into the two connections in the plug, you are just bypassing the rad switch

    disconnect the battery first though before fitting the wire though obviously
