Paint

I'm painting a number of things at the mo including ecu tray, rocker cover, steel wheels, underbody sealant (hammerite maybe?), battery tray etc. I'm looking for opinions on decent paints and primers preferably a rust preventing/treatment primer, and preferably high temp.

I'm looking for a citroen maritus blue, matt black (maybe wrinkle paint), and gun metal grey and a decent lacquer. So where do you guys reckon is best to look for these?

Your local bodyshop paint supplier mate, don`t go near halfrauds.

As for spraying steel I would sandblast everything then as soon as you get it bare spray it with a primer called acid etch or you will get flash rusting. Its a bit more expensive but it eats into the metal to prevent rust.

And as said above halfords paint is shit

Yeah wasn't looking at halfords but I know a lot of people have done their own stuff painting wise and some people appear more knowledgable at it than others. The prep stuff I have sorted I'm just looking for advice on decent paint as I want it to last. I'll check in the local body shops though thank you!!

for small bits your cant go wrong with, poundland matt black or gloss black paint imo,
I have painted a lot of things in the past and have never had a problem with it if you take your time and use a good lacquer you will be fine.
I also always use the poundland primer all the time brilliant!
    good luck
