Airbag light

As above, its none of the usual problems however.

It flashes for 5 minutes, then stays solid.

I've read the codes, and it says 'Passenger airbag switched off'

This is all well and good, except there isn't a switch, and I fitted the loom myself, and know for sure that there isn't anywhere for a switch to connect.

I've got a switch, but am i perhaps missing a part of loom? Something that plugs in between the green passenger airbag connections to allow the switch to be plugged in?

    Thanks

On your dash do you have an airbag?
  3. #3
Yeah changed the dash so have an airbag and changed the loom and ecu for the dash / airbag to match

Right & this is a pure guess you need the rest of the airbag wiring loom to plug into your dash airbag.Find someone who is breaking a vts of the same year as your engine, the switch plugs in where the switch blanks are next to the hazards & demister mate.

I have a switch but purely need to k ow whether its the whole loom or section of the loom I guess

It would be just the section of loom from airbag to switch plug wouldn't it?

I'd assume so and it'd in between the join for the passenger airbag, but then I'd also have thought that without that section of loom the circuit is complete and so the airbag would be 'on' :/

    Thats right mate.

Obviously not because I still have a fault code even with that circuit complete lol

Then you must have low resistance in the circuit either by a broken wire,or a faulty airbag squib mate.
