Power steering problem... :(

   My power steering felt like it was cutting out earlier today...
   
   I topped the fluid up and now its fine, except I get this weird 'gushing' noise coming from behind the steering wheel and there's some kind of fluid dripping from the underneath of the car.. its like oil but it smells funny...
   
   I can't tell if its steering fluid because I don't have any idea what was in there in the first place... also, the fluid seems to be dripping from the drivers side, just in front of the foot well... the same place the weird noise is coming from..
   
   HELP!!!..

   Update.. I just sat in the car with the engine running for around 15mins... when I reversed back, there was a massive puddle of what I'd guess to be steering fluid...

   Sounds like the same problem, so possibly be pas pipes or steering rack seals. Is it lowered?

   Nope.. not lowered..

   Have you tried jacking the vehicle up, and having a quick look underneath, could just be something simple before wasting time at a garage..?
