starter problem

   Fitted 16v into vtr when turning the car over it sounds like battery is dead it turns really slowly but batt brandnew all earths are clean tried more doesent help at all any ideas

   Do u have a vts altimator because am positive the vts has a different from the rest, could be the problem

   No I have 2 vtr alternators and 2 vtr starters its no better with either on there

   Yeah but the vts is different from a vtr mate am sure when u do a conversion u need a vts 1, im almost 100% possitive i read about that on here before

   The alternator charges fine when running cant see why that would make the starter crank slow not saying your wrong dont wana go out buy an alternator for a vts and it be the same when I have two perfect working already

   Aww if u have checked with a multimeter and its fine then it should be fine, is the starter motor old could that be the problem?

   Ive tried 2 still no good will have to try cleaning the earths again
