#2pull the radio out and swap the red and the yellow wires over. Problem solved.

#3Pretty sure it's something to do with swapping a couple of wires over, my mate had a similar problem in his and he said he had two wires wrong or something like that.
EDIT: Bedford knows it. -
#4Oh electricians tape, the amount of wires your holding together in my car.
Yup, as said, Red and yellow wires, cut bang in the middle, strip a bit of plastic casing back, stick one red side onto electricians tape, join a yellow strand up to the red, roll it up, repeat with other. Done.
If you want to be extra secure, use male and female crimps... wrap in tape.
Or solder them. -
#5Red to yellow and red to yellow instead of red to red and yellow to yellow, if i remember right red is power and yellow is memory

#6wow about the worse advice ever.Quote:Oh electricians tape, the amount of wires your holding together in my car.

#7i will have a go tonight but should i change the wires on the main wiring loom over or the the adapter
-
#8Had the same, they just swap.
-
#9Don't bodge it with insulation tape, do it properly with crimps. But yeah, swap the red and yellow wires over.
Basically one wire is a constant feed from the battery and the other is a feed only when the ignition is on. Car to car they vary. But basically at the moment your cars constant feed is connected to the ignition one. So when you turn off your car the radio isn't receiving any power and losing its settings. -
#10as above, just swap the red and the yellow over on the adapter that come with the stereo, and you will be sorted.
-
#12thanks alot sorted the problem now by switching red and blue!

#13i ment red and blue!
