   What paint do you need to smoke front lights from halfords.?

   And... if you do a search on smoked foglights, you will find many many posts on how to do it and what to use. There are also two DIY guides on SSC that give all the information you need. You can either go on there and search for them (Styling section) or do a search on here as the links have been posted a few times.

   Id guess some Matt black spray, grey primer and clear laquer.

   dont use laquer if you want the same effect as the smoked headlights

    i got a silver motor so if i take the rears of spray em with a grey priver and laquer em will they be legal
    
    bit of a dumb one but sand em down first yea?
