Cam pulleys

   i need to replace the cam pulleys as i think they are gone, is there a guide on here and will it take the timing out (16v)

   Why do you think they are?
   
   Of corse ist going to need retimming if you change a pulley lol.
   
   Have search for Saxo Vts Headgasket/Cambelt guide.

   I think its them because there is a squeal/knock from under the cover where the pulleys are any other ideas what it would be

   Cambelt to tight, tensionor bearing or idleler.

   its only just started doing it and gets worst as revved more

   Could be the pulleys rubbing on the rear cover.

   ok mate ill get one tommorow if it was rubbing would it stopif I took the cover off

   Well if thats the problem then yer.
   
   Run the risk of if a stone was to flick up and happen to land between the belt and pulley your going to have bent valves.
   
   To get the rear cover off you have to take the pulleys off to get to them
